Nah
|

I have a lot to cover yet in their discog but is this really their worst? Cause it's pretty good so far.

There are 4 albums worse than this

That's a depressing thought

Album Rating: 3.5
Head Over Heels is probably worse than this
Everything else is better (except for the last two which idk)
|
| |
A 3.5 feels more than right for now. Gotta check that Cocetau Twins in the rec section.

Agreed, maybe not about Cafe but definitely about Milk, it rules.
I'd say this is bottom three or so, they've got so many amazing records!

This one destroys the last two albums. I like it better than Victorialand too.

Just gave Love's Easy Tears a first listen and I'm listening to this back to back hmmmmm

Love’s Easy Tears is the best thing they ever made

Upon first listen: definitely not
The production seemed very loud in a way I wasn't digging even if the melodies were good
|
| |
not sure what it means for production to be loud. do you mean certain parts of the mix are too loud compared to others?
|
| |
I mean surely you can understand the at least possibility of there being a recording where the whole mix is pushed up to a deleterious extent, clipping a lot, then as you move down clipping slightly, then as you move down more granular but still potentially discomforting effects
So that
|
| |
Or just like (or just like “also”?), there are albums where you have to turn the volume up relative to your normal albums—so certainly ones where you’d turn it down
Maybe…
Who’s to say
|
| |
I can see clipping being an issue but I don't hear that on that EP. and sure the volume could be louder relative to other albums but like... just turn it down lol
