This is beginning to grow on me, thankfully. The addition of strings is pretty cheesy though. They sounds like fake MIDI.

I'll join the bump parade: two years in this is one of my top 5 albums of the past few years. It just feels so fresh. The production, at times, is a little tinny, and the vocals aren't great, though they have a good amount of variety.

I had a fun game for a while where I was listing out all the different bands I thought I heard in moments on this album, everywhere from Cynic and Darkane to Porcupine Tree. I wish I had actually made that list. Maybe that sounds like a negative thing, but I think it's more a testament to the range of this album.

What else is this heavy and grooves as hard as "Rejoice Your Soul"?

They just announced they have an EP coming out next month that they put together in 2 months, so it would be ready for the upcoming tour. Nice

Awesome news. 2 months though? Hope it's not acoustic versions or some shit.

No, from the trailer it sounds like more straight out thrash: https://youtu.be/05ur1rRwFgc

Hmm, that does sound kinda weird for them. Not to mention the strange album title and artwork.

Apparently they did the EP only specifically for their upcoming EU tour, in which they are supporting Warbringer and Havok, so we'll most likely get a full thrash-EP from them. Pretty cool.

Wellp, this is definitely a step down from A Prefect Absolution, which was a mild step up from New Decline, which was a biiiiiiiiig step down from Leading Vision. I hope these guys get around to writing good songs again someday but im not gonna hold my breath for it. Ill give em credit tho, they shred like no ones business

Love this band, but I just heard their Kiss the Freak EP and I'm not sure if it was even worth the effort

Not sure why I'm back here checking in. Well, I'm listening to the album as I write this, which was preceded by a full run through their entire chronological discography. This album remains their lowlight, in my eyes. First, you have the production which (while it has its positives) reeks of that overclean, spotless, modern, digitally production that plagues far too many progressive metal bands these days. Most importantly, however, the album is one big slog wherein the feeling is constantly delivered that the band tried too hard to write their riffs. It's like they have the same type of vibe and style of the riffs on their previous albums (save APA), yet they are so flat and uninteresting and derivative. The album sounds like Gorod trying to be Gorod, rather than sounding like Gorod. It somehow manages to have the hallmarks of most of their previous work, plus a few extras, yet the whole thing is a bland yawnfest, sounding like music that just plays itself out. It does its thing, and it does its thing while I feel like a passive bystander rather than an engaged listener. I know a lot of my critique has been cryptic and vague, but it's close to the best I could do. I just really can not get interested in this album, and I find it fairly difficult to put into clean words why. For reference, I'm a MASSIVE fan of all of the band's previous albums, save for APA, and with Leading Vision being the absolute highlight.

I also think Leading Vision is still their best, and I can get into your comments on this one, which feels very sterile and lifeless productionwise.
