She's just so vapid. She's not exciting, everything she's doing has been done ten times before more successfully and by better artists. She shows promise on Ghost and Colors but she doesn't seem like she has a clear idea of her own sound and it shows in how forgettable most of this is.
And yeah Lorde is a hundred times better

She's a 20 year old on her debut LP. Damn these youngsters; they should be fully formed from the get-go, so they have no room for improvement and can crash & burn.

Ghost and Colors are very good and show she has talent, but every other track here fells so lazy and predictable.

Well obviously I don't mean it that way, but here she's just so bland and cliché that she has no identity. She clearly does have talent, but I don't think it's unfair to criticise her for a lack of direction or personal style.

People should just stop overreacting about this album. At best it's an enjoyable catchy listen and at worst a slightly annoying album that appeals to teenagers, nothing more nothing less, can we move on now
