bieber did good, but i think hes getting way too many props for basically just doing what he does normally but slightly less melodically to start. song is gr8 tho.

Can the dude write some original lyrics? If not, stay as a producer.

am i the only one who thinks travis flow is frosty without autotune and he should largely stay away from it?

wrt travis' flow without autotune, i think i actually prefer him when he has got some sort of distortion because it distracts from his lyrics but manages to lend his voice some sorta gravitas anyways, and it really melds with his gravelly voice too. except for in really bad cases where it's unsalvageable i would usually prefer him doing somethign with his voice.

his flow on the prayer from DBR without distortion is fantastic tbh but then you get the "after 3 no1. albums" line and you know everyone else heard that line and was like "what albums travis i don't believe you"

he was talking about albums he produced. I think it was Yeezus, Magna Carta Holy Grail and something else

my point was more that it's a bit far fetched for him to attach himself so closely to those projects when he had v little to do with them

like he produced 1 song on magna carta and it was Crown, and he owes that credit almost entirely to WondaGurl. he was "exec" on yeezus altho i dont know how much he did besides new slaves (which tbf bangs) and even then how much did he do on new slaves. i mean i love travis but owl pharaoh is where he's done most of his production and it's a mess.

everybody's praised him as this great producer but my favorite projects from him are this and dbr and i don't think he did any of the production on that either.

He isn't a good producer? He's produced some tunes and even if he isn't the sole prod', it/they have his 'flavour'. The man has an ear for sound. Say what you want about his rapping, he knows how to put a song together. Rodeo is a fine example of that.
