I ended up adding to the review and changing a few things around, mainly to get across why this is a 4.5 and probably my favorite album of the year.

and no TLF isn't best its just the "ok boys lets cater directly to the kind of people who go to sasquatch music festival every year" of foals

tfl is a really boring album imo

If you're talking about Inhaler or My Number, nothing on here sounds like it. They steer completely clear of that poppier sound they were flirting with on Holy Fire with some songs.



There were a few moments that sounded a lot like Viva La Vida or early U2 though, which some people might hate, but didn't bother me at all.



I love everything about TLF, especially the post-rock influences and soundscapes/atmosphere. One of my favorite indie albums of all time.

tlf has some gems like spanish sahara but overall it's so.... bland. just so slow and uninteresting. i thought holy fire was much better.

haven't seen the music video for inhaler but that song rules and potsy is wrong

the lyrics are such shit too.

although this video of the dudes in foals dancing to HudMo's worst song ever made will always be the best thing
