in my very humble opinion, and having the Byrds as my favorite group ever, I think Eight Miles High is a tad bit overrated, I understand its amazing guitar riffs and its importance in early psychedelic music, but people seem to praise a lot this tune as if it was the pinnacle of their career, but there are so much better and interesting songs on their discography, and Eight Miles High, kind of overshadow all of that.

haha for me its the opposite. ive heard a couple of their albums and theyre all great but eight miles high towers above everything else. probably one of my favorite songs ever
