I adore this album. Can't get enough of that cheesy organ whenever it appears.

I need to dub Scooby Doo's laugh over the intro to Spirit. Should be hilarious XD

They were coming to philly the same day the pope is coming. Unfortunately, show is canceled and being rescheduled.

Let's hope they crash his party.

i love that they call all the band members but the singer 'nameless ghoul'
that's a fine piece of aesthetic

The Pope and Ghost on the same day is the most awesome kind of juxtaposition

I dig everything but the closer. Spirit, Cirice, and He Is appear to be the highlights to me.
|
| |
This is kinda cool.
EDIT: This is basically classic rock/old school heavy metal worship done as well as you can expect from a modern band.

Guitars are super punchy on this, Cirice + Spirit are tops for me

Nah, never checked them before this album. I have a few friends that are super into them though.

I may be in the minority saying this, but I honestly believe this is Ghost's best album. The other two didn't really strike a chord with me (Infestissumam was better than Opus Eponymous for me, but both albums are over-hyped), but Meliora is simply a really fun album to listen to. The songwriting never gets boring, and for once I sort like the harmonic vocal delivery and its connection to the melodic musicianship, particularly in the album's highlights, "Spirit", "Cirice" and closer "Deus in Absentia". I like the psych/proggy flourishes in the mid-section of most songs too, which naturally hits my soft spot.
