Album Rating: 1.5
Saint Asonia is a rock band in the rock genre.
Luke Bryan is a pop artist in the country genre.
Do the math.
|
| |
So you think that certain genres can't have derivative music?
|
| |
More like he thinks that you can only be derivative if you take elements from other genres.
Dumb anyway but w/e

Album Rating: 1.5
I mean, I call a spade a spade...people call Luke "Puke Bryan" for a reason. this is one of the reasons why

Album Rating: 1.5
There's nothing wrong with incorporating other genres, but when you start fully focusing your music around other genres, you lose the appeal from your target audience.
|
| |
You're making no sense, and nothing you're saying is even related to the music itself wtf's wrong wit cha, why are the music market and target audiences even being discussed
|
| |
Album Rating: 1.5
Because that's part of the reason I rated the album 1.5..it's just unappealing and it completely butchers the genres it emulates.

Yo this is a good review. Pls refrain from being a dickhead in your comments tho

I try to imagine people who would listen to pop-country and all I ever come up with are the bit-part characters you might see on Beavis and Butthead
|
| |
Sadly I know many people who listen to pop country. I don't even try to convert them to good country. They're already lost
Not 100% of pop country is bad though. Some of the female pop country artists are good.

I actually am kind of with you there, Boney. Whenever I had to listen to Country radio at my old job, there were two maybe three songs that I liked, and they were all by female artists. Plus, you can actually tell them apart vocally.

This guy played in my area just last week, it was apparently a big freakin' deal.
I had a ton of friends posting about it on FB.
Meanwhile, I had no idea who he was

I live in the same town as a major concert venue so I hear about people going to pop and pop country shows all the time. It's hard not to make fun of them.
