its definitely more straight forward than the new Neon Indian and a lot more reliant on basic synth sounds compared to how that new Neon Indian gets the weird guitar and bass and electro funk sounds going on. But the 80's vibes are heavy here too, you may enjoy it. Check out George Clanton - 100% Electronica too

yeah but be warned i dont really think ur gonna find anything quite like new Neon Indian. Its very ecclectic. there is a lot of 80's inspired synth pop/new wave stuff going on these days but that new Neon Indian draws so many influences beyond that, like its also got really heavy straight up 80's alt ala Tears for Fears vibes, theres tonnes of electro funk stuff going on, the pop is very heavy and there's even whiffs of reggae rhythms here and there. its pretty out there.

Like climbing into the Space Harrier arcade contraption back in the 80s thinking it looked amazing but even then it was flat, lifeless and shite so you went over to the forgotten corner and bashed buttons on track n field.
