used to be the same way but this feels like a way more polished and streamlined Obscura. Das Martyrium Des and the title track are so phenomenally evil as well

Obscura's easily my favourite 'Guts but it feels like a different beast. I very much enjoy TEOS as well but find this & Considered Dead harder to get into.
(Haven't heard Coloured Sands or the EP)

If anything this is wearing off, not getting better. Streamlined Obscura, sure, if that means you take all the interesting bits out & forget to write memorable or interesting songs. Opening track rules though.
I might lower my rating.

That would be stupid because I like metal. Apologies that I don't have EXACTLY the same taste as you.

I love Obscura & if I was to rate Colored Sands on first listen it'd get the love as well. This just doesn't do it for me. Not saying it never will, we'll see.

This is prob the biggest grower in their discog. It's not as instrumentally zany as Obscura but it's more interesting and fleshed out composition-wise. t/t is a perfect tech death song.
