I liked their past albums but none of them really blew me away, this on the other hand is fantastic from front to back.

Same, love Lonerism every time I put it on, but this gets me grooving while keeping the psychedelic influence.

I just wish the day he put "Past Life" on the record that his buddy walked in and was like woah woah dude don't put that on the album! 12 tracks is plenty!! Sure it goes with the concept of the album but it just doesn't tickle me where I enjoy being tickled.

I don't know guys, but I love Past Life. That deep droney screeching synth that comes in gets me every time.

I like the melodies and I love the blasting synth noises at the start but I can't get past the lyrics and their presentation in the verses.

"The truth of the material is that these songs rarely go amiss without guitars to accompany them: Currents is at once looser, tighter, and better with the overbearing presence of guitars replaced with layer after layer of summery production sheen."

Great line from a great review. This has fast become my favourite Tame Impala release - I can't stop listening to it!

Yeah, I can see how the verses can be a bit off putting. But still dig it due to instrumentation. Album is a hard grower too.

great album but I wouldve been way happier hearing "let it happen" upon first listen instead of months and months prior. Kind of a dumb critique but yeah

Revival stuff? This album can stand on its own legs apart from any past influences and actually creates unique sound.

great review, listening now. the production is good, but I think the sheer amount of synth sounds are sort of boring me though. I prefer their more guitar-centric sound at the moment, but I'll see if I can settle into this album's sound

It's all keys and shit...

It's alright I guess. Everybody seems to like this more than me. Maybe it'll grow but I really don't feel like listening to it anymore. Disappointing.

the guitars were rarely a noteworthy point of this band's music anyway
