My defense of the record's merits is nowhere near the level of butthurt from people that wanted Shape 2 OR the people claiming this record to be the worst thing ever. As someone who thinks TSOPTC was one of the best albums ever made, it's nowhere at that level but it's a pretty good album on its own merits, and I think if any other band put this out it'd be well-received, but it's Refused so WHERES MUH JAZZ N HXC -4/5

The music may not be as "in your face" as their past stuff but I find it highly interesting and enjoyable. The guitar parts are fun, bass is utilized well and I like the vocals for a band on hiatus for 17 years returning.

Haha you honestly believe that? The playing on here is tight, Elektra is a fun song, I love the subtle guitar parts, and the vocals are pretty good.

Sputnik usually only gives attention to records that are pillars for their genre, game changers or perfection for an artist/genre. Sure, this record hasn't reinvented the wheel but a record shouldn't have to to be to be appreciated on some level and enjoyable to listen to.
