No FNM is great. They all have some good jams but never a complete album. My fav of Patton's work is either Tomahawk - Mit gas or his DEP EP

I am so down with "Snow Angel" right now, it reminds me of an old school Alice in Chains acoustic ballad. Just beautiful, that was always what impressed me about AIC; that they could sound heavy and then equally good doing those kinda songs too. Fuck...lol
Also, "Counterfeit Sky" is a jam.

Pretty good music, it's just too bad the dynamic range sucks like most new albums. Would be nice if someone like Albini could be in charge of the mixing/mastering.

lol their first album is with Albini and the band didn't think his approach was what they wanted. I think the production here is fucking ace

saw these guys a couple weeks ago and the music was gr8 but their stage presence was boring af, they only talked to the audience once and stood in the same places the whole time

The production is good, but the dynamic range isn't. The instruments don't have enough room to breathe. It gets fatiguing to listen to and isn't as engaging. Listen how much more dynamic the first or even second album is. Much better punch and clarity.
