I hope not. I was ALMOST thinking maybe I misjudged that band.

21 pilots is pretty lame especially nowadays.

And actually I wouldn't call this influenced by 21 pilots I'd say it fits the same niche of bland alt-pop except this at least has some redeeming qualities.

I love that instead of actually arguing you just say I haven't heard the album. You can go through my last.fm and confirm that I did in fact listen if you want to. I rated this Dec 29 so it'll be around there

Rarely do people criticise this for blandness, usually for being too quirky/in your face garish/overstuffed/irritating

Being overly quirky renders it pretty bland.

And rabidfish, just because I don't like something you do doesn't mean I'm deaf. I'm sure there are plenty of things I like that you don't, and I'm not calling you deaf over it

If I had to choose I think I'd say blandly quirky

even if the album is a little quirk for the sake of quirk on a merely superficial level, the great songwriting and genral good attitude totally makes this more than enjoyable.

Lul mane, u need to take this less seriously in order to enjoy it.

I think I know what you mean - that Keith Lemon character on the telly I regard as blandly quirky. The quirkiness looks hard work.

I liked the track that sounded like a Talking Heads ripoff. My end goal isn't to enjoy everything I hear, rather to find things I like, and find out what I don't like about stuff I don't like so I can better find things I like

I remember when Doof was spunking all over this thing back in 2015, never did listen to it though.

You should. Best thing to happen to prog pop since Yes

If you can still love an album after the spunk has crusted...well that one's a keeper

4.5 forever

if you only listen to a handful of tracks, make sure they're 'no reptiles', 'blast doors' and 'to the blade'

Yes are just prog I thought not prog pop? Totally differently genres no?

Hmmm I guess this makes another one to add to my list of Doof classics to check.

It's 80s arty bobbins sung by millennial brats who've never been loved other than by their mums who themselves think this is a bit iffy.
