'okay but none of the deathcore features this year have been above a 2.5'

I understand that opinion. The only deathcore I've been jamming from this year is the new Abiotic album- this one seems like it will be in rotation for me as well.

A Night in Texas was pretty good and Thy Art is Murder have a chance to make something good.

Not out yet, that's why I said it has a chance to be pretty good considering Hate was pretty great imo.

fair enough. I don't go out of my way to listen to deathcore, and off the top of my head i can only think of one deathcore album i've liked. wretched - beyond the gate.

I'm no advocate for deathcore either but they're are a few bands I can enjoy from the genre such as Bleed from Within, Thy Art is Murder, The Contortionist, All Shall Perish, Glass Casket, Animosity, and The Red Chord if they're even considering deathcore.

all i've heard off that list is the contortionist, didn't like them much. idk metal as a whole is growing off me, i'd much rather listen to electronic these days.

"thx for the criticism, though stating "blocky writing" as a negative and then later saying it was cleanly written doesn't make much sense."

I figured you'd address that, I needed to clarify but I'm lazy at school. Uhhh, the way you analyzed the songs was a bit blocky in a transitional sense. The way you reviewed it felt formulaic, but not your writing. Your writing style is very smooth and easy.

Guess that's fair, some album's just don't offer or warrant certain analysis.

Completely agree, this album has a lot of things to offer. I just feel generally straying from reviewing that way is best. Enjoyed the review, though.

I don't understand the high numbers on this one... It's seems like an average death core release to me. I can jam to "Requem" but that's about it for me.

Most of this album sounded pretty bland and samey for me, though I did like the symphonic elements they threw in there.

If you want good deathcore influenced stuff, just wait for Glass Casket, Ovdi and Assemble the Chariots' new EP. All three of these things should be out before the end of 2015. They're not just deathcore, they're way beyond that, but they do have considerable influences from deathcore
