Yeah for some reason this did a lot more for me than her previous work. Maybe it's just fresher.

Good god I love this album. I liked Lungs. Ceremonials really disappointed me. This one kills. Finally!

Ship to Wreck and the Title Track were both very, very good. Didn't really feel What Kind of Man, but in anycase I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of this album

I've never listened to anything by this artist/group(?). What is a good starting point?
Actually, I'll probably just go in order.

"Ship to Wreck," "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful," "Queen of Peace," "Delilah," and "St. Jude" stand out as great songs. 6/11 songs being great is pretty stellar in my book. "What Kind of Man," "Third Eye," and "Mother" are also good so that's 9/11 songs I like on this album.

I like this poppier and more upbeat Florence compared to Lungs Florence. Kinda like Taylor's transition from country to pop, Florence just sounds better poppier.

Great review. I like this new airy/earthy Florence, there's more 'space' between her vocals and the instruments, rather than just the sort of dense, swirling heaviness of her earlier work (which I also adored). Keeps it fresh.

I actually really like 'Ship To Wreck.' This is not on par with Ceremonials or Lungs, but it's different without sacrificing the quality I'd expect from her. I agree with your review (which was top-notch by the way) almost completely, aside from your opinion on specific tracks.

Yeah the first 3 songs have a great run even if I'm not that keen on What Kind of Man.

Damn that moment spanning the end of Ship To Wreck up to the opening riff of What Kind Of Man is so awesome.
