He seems to use a lot of odd tunings. Just looked up some of the tabs from this.
|
| |
Ooh yeah, but they're an absolute joy to play.
|
| |
Always meant to learn some of his music. Indeed a masterpiece.

Road has never been one of my favourites on here.

Pretty much every track has been my favourite at some point, loving Place to Be and Harvest Breed at the moment. Learning to play the whole album just gave me an even bigger appreciation for it.

Isnt it a chore to play these? They don't sound that complicated, but I hate re-tuning my guitar. Im a bit lazy

Must be fiddly with your big hands.

I don't have the ear to do it without a tuner. Laziness. Are any of these songs actually played in standard tuning?

Wouldn't have a scooby dude.

Which Will is my favourite too.
"And tell me now
Which will you love the best?
Which do you dance for?
Which makes you shine?"
This part breaks my heart every time.
Also the instrumental part of Road is incredible.

Things Behind the Sun, Horn and Know are in standard tuning. The tunings can be fiddly, but a lot of them are essentially the same, you can just put the capo a bit higher or lower on the neck to compensate.
