While it has some bloat (and non-songs) mother mechanic path has a good # of jams. Never listened to room too cold so can't comment too much there, but I think it is a more raw, less mature version of their stuff (as you might expect from their first LP), but it is decently rated so you might check it

room's too cold is great. there's one or two tracks i don't really care for, but all in all a very fun listen. the mother and the mechanic are worth listening to for sure, and maybe the path after that if you feel up for it.

I'd never listened to this band until Imbue came out, I've checked In Currents as well now. I think both are great, but this album's a significant improvement.

In currents has like 3 weak ass songs, rest is really solid. Glad someone else is riding the vinyl train with me. Listened to my copy the other day, looks and sounds awesome!

Just read every comment in this thread... Man, oh man the Drive Thru days. I love the rawness on the every nights another story cd and Rooms Too Cold has some classics. I can't decide though if I like In Currents more than Imbue. I think I do.

in currents has more variety, that's the only thing i really see going for it over this. it's also poppier but i think the pop sensibilities are more refined and well-executed here.

I just don't think their are as strong songs on Imbue like "Stain on a Carpet", "Frayed in Doubt" or "Like A Kid" .. "Boxing Timelines" and "Narrow Mouth" are the only ones that come close. The Album does flow very well though.

This album starts off really good and kind of drops off. Maybe I need to jam the second half more.

Possibly, I feel like this album's pretty consistent throughout.

2nd half is definitely not even close to as good as first half, gotta be honest. but it's like first half is 5 for 5 and second half is like 3.75/5 so we gucci fam

Yeah, probably the weakest songs are on the second half. Harmony is one of my favorites, though, so it balances out a bit.

i wish the second verse was different from the first one, that's my only complaint. but it's a beautiful song.
