I wonder what female singer sings in "Shadow?" Perhaps a lucky person from the perk? I'm not sure if they offered that as a perk but some bands do. nonetheless, she sounds beautiful.

I'm turning 25 this august, and I worshiped Burning Bridges and When Everything Falls in highschool. They were (and still are) legendary in my love for the genre.

I really would've liked a slightly more cleaner production, especially since some of the vocals seem drowned out and low in the mix for some tracks, otherwise, absolutely outstanding album.

My question is whether or not raw vs. polished production actually costs any different? Couldn't it be that it's just a choice when in the studio?

I personally really dig the sludgy, spacey, production thing they have going on. It really builds on the overall atmosphere for me. Also, the production definitely sounds intentional and not due in part to funding.
