I'M SITTING IN MY BEDROOM HAVING SING-A-LONGS TO SONGS YOU'VE NEVER HEAAAARRDDDD

Also they apparently have had a new EP out this year and nobody noticed. Small set of acoustic-centered revisits of songs off their last album.

that ep is actually surprisingly eye opening. all the performances are beautifully arranged for a more acoustic-leaning rendition of their sound (which i didnt expect them to be able to pull off tbh as much as i love them) and all the songs are p good picks from the album too. the gem from that ep though is easily their cover of “Same Drugs” tho check that if anything

Dunno why you'd ever want to try this, it's pure emo cheese.

Huh. What were you hearing that led you here, out of curiosity?

My youtube recommendations is weird as hell. It randomly remembers some of the songs I check out and then four months later it's like, boom! Do you remember when you checked out this obscure stoner doom band? Here's another one for you! Because we remember!

But this time, I'm guessing it was Sunny Day Real Estate.

Right now, I'm being inundated with Japanese jazz from the 80s and newest bm. HA.

I just keep getting recommended clickbait or videos I've already seen. Some more than once. And a bunch of L4D2 stuff.

Where are you in terms of emo? I think I've seen you liking some stuff but I'm not clear on your preferences.

I love skramz. Midwest emo is fine, but the stuff released in 10s sucks. I'll keep on trying tho.

Eh, don't force it. I obviously disagree vehemently on some accounts (Hotelier... I love you man but you break my heart there), but I understand that people have their preferences. If something clicks, stick to it, and if something doesn't after repeated tries, it probably just isn't your cuppa joe. No harm, no foul!

midwest emo and emo rev should not be clumped into the same genre tbh

"Pika have you ever checked Mineral"

Yes, they rule hard.

"midwest emo and emo rev should not be clumped into the same genre tbh"

Emo rev seems like a watered-down devolution of midwest emo to me. The core's kind of still there, but the songwriting is noticeably weaker.
