Anyone else think the guitars are a bit too quiet on this? The alternate mix version improves that a little bit but they're still kinda low. Album absolutley rules regardless, just a minor gripe.

Alt version is dirtier and louder but I feel the guitars are fine on the normal one. They are definitely not used to lead, for the most. That's the keyboards' job.

Yeah that's a good point. The riffs are just so good and are a highlight for me so I want to hear them more clearly.

As much as I like this album, it's always bothered me how low the guitar and kick drums are in the mix.

Having them so low really helps with the thick blanket of symphonic atmosphere this entire album is covered with.

This appears to be some sort of remaster because the guitars and drums are much louder, so you might dig this.

So it turns out I've only ever heard the remaster for Anthems. How does it compare to the original? It's a huge wall of sound with the vocals, for the most part, being shoved to the background. It's quite loud too but it rarely clips which is impressive

the new 2014 remaster is even better, cuz of the bonus alt-mix of the album

For some reason I never held this album as highly as I did some other BM classics. Relistened to this tonight, and I honestly think that it's starting to move up in ranks for me. I have no idea how i never realized how top-notch this is.
