Indeed... I always found laughable people critizicing the black metal scene for the murders while supporting other scenes where murder/rape rates were way more prevalent.

If you are into metal/rap/rock/hip-hop chances are you support the art of at least one (and I'm aiming really low...) rapist, murderer, and/or disgraceful motherfu****, that's how it is.



I would actually argue that rape is generally way more disgusting than murder if you analyze the reasons/motives behind it, but it's a complex topic to discuss. And don't take me wrong, many murders are plain psycho shit, like killing someone because he is a homosexual for example

Anyway I'm one of those people who thinks separating the art from the artist is very important, but that's just me.

Huh?... It depends... I mean, nowadays I'd rather have a guy with Hitler posters in his basement than someone who goes around murdering for psycho reasons (although the best option would be none of those cases to exist ig). First case is most times someone who's been brainwashed and/or full of hatred for complex ideological reasons, but as of today there is always the chance to challenge those ideas. Some neo-nazis are beyond repair, true, but most of them don't go around murdering.

A pathological, non-functional psychopath is way worse. Pray you never have to deal with someone like that... There is no ideas to debate there, just someone who enjoys the suffering of others and cannot do shit about it.



Then the world nowadays is ruled by high-functioning psychopaths who are condeming those of us below to miserable lives and death; they may not had blood on their hands directly, but they promote wars and have made a huge business out of selling weapons, speculation/inflation,...
