"The first truly great Leviathan album"

Only part I massively disagree with. It's an amazing album, but damn to act like Leviathan's whole discography (save TT,TW) isn't legendary is craziness.

This is probably my 2nd favorite behind "Tenth Sub-Level...." That record is incredible to me.

I like how much love that record gets on here. A lot of people I know dislike that record and I don't understand it.

Idk how you could dislike it if you're a bm fan.

This is the first I've heard from Leviathan but it's the best thing I've heard this year so far. Might have to check out Mass Conspiracy if it's on par with this. What's the rest of his stuff like?

The first truly great Leviathan album stands heads and shoulders above the wrest.

Not true at all. I'm telling everybody, actually listen to his back catalogue and then tell me this isn't very similar (minus some of the more death metal moments). Not calling you out or anything Xeno, just stating that I think this is an exposure album considering a lot of attention has been drawn on Jeff Whitehead with his recent legal disputes and all. Of course there's going to be a perception as this being his best work when his past glories really didn't have the attention he's getting now.

At least the review that follows is acknowledging of his massive influence on American bm. Totally disagree with True Traitor being a mess of an album (lots of gems on it) but yeah, this feels a lot more confident.

Jesterhead92, a lot of it. Isn't as polished production wise but it's all incredible. He hasn't released a band album, so you're pretty safe regardless of what you check out.

Wizard, I agree with that last statement,. While I hate the album title, TTTW is awesome and a solid 3.5 for me.

His first two records are amazing. Even his demos and compilations are great. Just got one of his demos on cassette.

In my experience he always seemed pretty respected, but I'm a fairly recent fan so I suppose I wouldn't know.
