Inspector Loliphant. There were actually a few bands in my mind at the time. They were indeed one of them. I also recall earlier this year that I was going to possibly review Fall Out Boy and Papa Roach, who from memory had the same magic number.

With the difference, that the new Silverstein rules hard.

I've been meaning to give their whole discog a thorough run-through for so long now. At the very least, I'll listen to their newie at some stage this year.

Shipwreck in the Sand is my favorite silverstein record, Davey. I'd be interested to see how you like their discography.

Not yet Loli. It sounds like everyone has a different favorite LP of theirs. I've always struggled with the singer's voice to some extent, but know I will easily get over it once I delve into their discog. That's why I'd rather not listen to just 1 of their albums only.

His screams on Silverstein's first record or two sounded like Matt Davies' screams... yikes. They're better now (still not great).

I think I have heard the scrams you mean Zero. And then I try to compare his cleans with Toby from Emery and they just fall way short. I guess it's this combination which has kept me from them in the past.

On a side note, Pretty Little Thing, Hell to Pay, and Nerve Endings are my favorites off of this. That guest vocals from Telle Smith are definitely a high point. These guys do heavier material well. The Deep End is another good example of that.

Agreed on the heavier comment. It would not surprise me at all if they explored that side of things come the follow-up. If they can, while still keeping the catchiness, then I will be a happy man.

Yeah they've already got the good hooks trick pretty much down, and they're only going to get better. I'd also be interested to see what they do with some slower tracks. As good as this album is its very consistent mood-wise from start to finish. Not a lot of peaks and valleys in that regard.

Fair call. But if they weren't ready to record a ballad, then I'm kinda glad that they didn't. Work away at it, maybe release an EP with a ballad on it next year and then go from there.

I should really get this. Maybe they'll have it at Best Buy or something, but I'm saving up for the new Kamelot album.

Best Buy does have physical copies. I could order one right off the bat if I wanted to.

Agreed Snide. There's still some room for improvement - predominantly in deiversity - but whether they're up for it or not is still to be seen.
