Peak Barnett.
Don't ask me what I really mean
I'm just a reflection
Of what you really wanna see
So take what you want from me
The world needs more artists that shamelessly sing in their native accents.

aaaahahaha what is this thread?
You guys are the ones contradicting yourselves. You want to berate me for identifying with the male "object" of Charli's lyrics or not being able to identify a lesbian, but also admit you can't fully identify with those groups. Instead, I suppose you do some kind of performative universalist erasure. I bet you guys think you all really understand and get Kendrick Lamar. It's audacious.
Surely this is in the copypasta by now

Half a rating. Knowing she's not interested in men as a man makes her and her music a tad less appealing. Don't care if anyone thinks that's homophobic.

You guys are full of shit. You're seriously telling me, as heterosexual men (assumption), that a woman's sexuality has no bearing on their music for you? I'm not saying a significant one, but her being a lesbian removes a sexual element from the music that is normally present when any woman is singing.
