I just bought this album from the Ethereal Shroud band camp page. I find this album superbly atmospheric and full. I listened to it once so far and I can tell that this will be a memorable record in my collection. It is an experience, great review, and anxious to see if the album will get more exposure to the world.

I really liked it until the vocals came in. they feel a bit disconnected from the rest of the instrumentation, probably a mixing issue.

Dude, the gear makes me love it even more. But really, Fable 2? Dude couldn't have bought a used copy for like ten bucks?!

he picked up guitar, gave up when he couldn't shred like kerry king after a week's practice, got high and was desperate to play fable 2 at like 1 in the morning so he was like "fuck it i don't need my guitar"

I understand, game. Played it myself for quite awhile. But here's the thing: the two are not similar in value at all lol. Noctus won at life that night. Lol

when you told me that I just pictured some shady guy in an alleyway going "Psst. Hey man. Ya wanna buy a guitar? I'll cut you a good deal man. Super cheap come on." Your version is such a let down :3

and yeah, the mic i used for vocals is built into my webcam. i just moved in with my bf so i have to spare expenses. a proper mic was sadly low priority.

Yeah, the vox were basically the only thing I had an issue with on your record. Now that I know the circumstances, it puts a lot more perspective on things.

Still, it's pretty amazing with what you accomplished with such a bare bones setup.

though, for future releases i'd like to upgrade aspects of my setup (mic especially, might see if anyone is interested in drumming for me...)

I actually liked the vocals quite a bit. They're nice and raspy and have a nice echoey thing going, like your head is in a tin barrel and your voice is bouncing off the walls.

to me it sounds like the vocals are just on top of everything else in the mix and thus not in the same sphere like the rest of the instruments. nice shrieks though.
