The Gorguts comparison wasn't so much the way that it sounds as it is the way it's written. The sheer chaos, the dissonant melodies that somehow work, etc. just reminded me a lot of Obscura. I wrote that after the first three tracks though, the album changes a fair bit after that

Are people just reviewing this without giving his back-catalogue a listen, let alone a rudimentary understanding of American bm? Even calling this black metal is a stretch and shows no understanding of the different aspects happening within the album. Did you - the reviewer - just read a bunch of reviews, take the best parts out and just slam them together into your own thoughts?
