This kicks ass but as an album its a little tough to get through.

i must say pure is one killer opener track
|
| |
if by killer you mean kills any urge to continue listening, i agree
|
| |
Agreed. Pure is an amazing song.

gonna give this a listen later
although this does seem rather generic upon first listen

Title track is bonerific.

Yeah, title track is also another highlight. Altered State of Consciousness has one heck of a riff too.

dammit there needs to be more hours within the day
I barely have any time to check out new sh*t with work, lifting and guitar
|

I feel you. I had college and work earlier, andI just finished lifting at 5, and now I have to leave pronto to martial arts. I did finish my review though. I'll post it when I return.

"I find the production and vocals on this album a chore to listen to"
+1

The production seems fine to me, though I can see why someone might find the vocals a little off setting.

Great review, and I fully stand by your rating.
After surfing through my External Drive, hoping to clear some space I found this album. Curious, I tried it out - I was instantly sent to a place that can only be found when discovering true talent: Metal Heaven.
Pure hit me like a storm, and left me depleted until the next track kicked in and revived me again. The musicianship is tight (considering the guitarist wrote all the music for this release). The drumming is god-like, same goes to the guitars, bass, vocal and occasional female vocals! Brilliant. Funny thing though, great bands like these who actually bring something new to the table almost never get recognized. While shit-piles like Waking The Cadaver and Annotations Of An Autopsy are setting out to the equally despicable followers.
I am now a true fun of this band. They being put into my best Metal collection alongside Scar Symmetry, Fragments Of Unbecoming, The Faceless, Bullet For My Valentine and Daath. m/

better(if not the best) than most of the shit(read Melodic Death Metal) coming out these days
|
| |
one of the most boring mdm bands ive heard in a while

Album Rating: 3.5
Considering the heap of boring melo death bands out there, this one isn't that bad, definitely has an entertainment factor to it. That being said, I wouldn't be throwin' a 5 anywhere near this thing. It is a better place to start with Mors than their first, pretty marked improvement here.

There's too many parts on this album that just drag.
Not to mention the mindless guitar solos.

The outro is as good as the intro. It signifies the end of the brutality & troubles that the "the unborn" faced before its birth. The song features the female vocals which symbolizes the "mother". A well-though out album & brilliantly executed.
