This has nothing in common with Galaxies sadly. As much as it would be awesome to see them continue in that style, this is rather far from it. This is just more or less the hard rock from On Blonde with added shoegaze influences.
That being said, since you're interested in spacey stuff like Galaxies, I'd highly recommend you check these out:
