..No you're right, song is 'ok', I think I got confused yesterday while jammin both, it's the other closer
that's goddamn awful
I have never rated Periphery much from the beginning, I liked a lot of their ideas and they are among the
forerunners of the genre but never truly delivered on disc IMHO. Question of personal taste that I'd rather
not argument yet another time

stranger things is among their best songs, psychosphere is great too
derping way too hard there

Psychosphere is for two minutes a Scourge reprise, which if you didn't like the Scourge in the first place
you're hardly gonna enjoy that bit. Then there's that cool bridge at middle of the song which sounds like
I've heard it ten thousand times in other bands in the past five years, then there's a scourge reprise
again, sponce raps (!!!) and then the coda is quite boring and doesn't leave me anything
Can I please please please be free to not enjoy this disc? I like djent, I like metalcore, I like clean
vocalists, I like 'pop metal' in some ways but I don't like these guys, the whiny vocals on some part of
the disc, their excessive and constantly evident meshuggah worship, the mandatory forced breakdown to let
core kids rejoice, the stupid concept, the bad lyrics and the hit and miss songwriting. I think Alpha is
average and Omega is good but not that great or heck a masterpiece like the drooling reviews written here.
Can I be free to think this of Periphery?

it's just that kind of fake emotional singing hurts my ears so much as virtually no other thing in music can. i would rather listen to rhianna than these vocals on repeat and i don't even know how she is spelled BITCH

Is not horrible but I don't really like it so much. The vocals sometimes are painful but the instrumentals
feel fine. I feel like I preffer the Arcane album this year.

I feel like I prefer the Arcane album this year. [2]

They don't even belong to the same genre (well, we could argue they represent two different subgenres under
the same umbrella genre that is progmetal), aside from being a double disc with a similar styled cover art
why is everyone comparing them?
(Arcane is undoubtedly better)

because they're both considered prog metal probably

After a few proper listens, I am really digging these. Spencer sounds fantastic. Matt seems to be holding back a bit compared to older releases. All in all, very pleased with the double album.
