It took me a while to warm up to Escape. Up until about two or three years ago I'd skip that track. I used to hate how happy and upbeat it sounded. James hates the song, according to interviews.

I remember back when Guitar Hero 4 was coming out, everyone was wetting their jeans over what Metallica song
would be in the game. Most speculated it would be MoP, RtL, or Fade To Black, while others guessed Hit The
Lights. When the gamemakers said it would be Trapped Under Ice, most people got pissed. To quote an IGN
critic:
"Why an obscure song from one of the biggest metal bands ever? They might as well have picked 'Poor Twisting
Me' or 'All Within My Hands'."

^Wow, I remember that too. I was guessing "Master Of Puppets" and was pretty shocked when "Trapped Under Ice" made the final cut. The critic you're talking about was Chris Smith, I think he got a lot of backlash for that.
