It was only a matter of time before the Mongi review. Good work, mate.

The dude can obviously sing but there's no need to get all obnoxious with it.

What how is he obnoxious??
|
| |
Over singing bro.
|

He's not. Well, he hasn't been on the previous albums so I assume that would continue.
|

Not a fan of this sorta prog anyway tbh.

Oh yea that I agree with at parts, though I wouldn't exactly use obnoxious at the term for me. More like intrusive but he's still one of my favorite singers ever. But fair enough I remember you saying you weren't a fan of them.

This is easily their most mature release thus far. It really feels like they took a thorough examination of their flaws on previous releases and have fully developed their own sound and style.

I agree with BigPleb on previous records, where he tried wayyy too hard to sound like Maynard...but I can't agree with you on this album...He puts his heart and soul into it when he sings and it comes off as genuine. It may appear as over the top for some, but this is progressive rock. Each song is an emotional story

So prog it hurts

He does not sound like Maynard on purpose. If you read Reddit he says Maynard is an influence, but so are Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, and Queen, which if you have listened to those bands, you'd probably agree. This is a great album!

After 4 albums of material, Rishloo sounds very little like Tool or APC. You could say they are the same style and genre of music, but nothing more. Rishloo has a unique sound, including Drew.

I really do here quite a bit of Gavin Hayes in his voice though

Now lets not get crazy xD
Gavin is fantastic on El cielo and leitmotif but he annoys me sometimes on CWA and Pariah

Y'all forgot his citing of Tori Amos as an influence.
