Yeah...I'll give him a pass because I like the delivery on that but some of the lyrics post trilogy are...blah

I do actually like (s)AINT but the lyrics are iffy at best

TPE has some of his best lyrics since Holy-Wood

Goddamn, I think his album is so underrated. The production is fantastic.

Mechanical Animals

I would also say Golden Age, which is kinda more of a non-serious album and most people don't like it, but it's overall my favourite album of his.

Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals, Holy Wood; they're his legit masterpieces. Pale Emperor is a good reinvention, and all in-between vary in quality.

But every time I go back to this I love it more and more. The goth-type production and the catchy songs are so good.

Might bump it up

agreed hard. don't really why this gets a lukewarm reception from people who praise The Pale Emperor, this is almost like a precursor to that in a way and just as good

This is definitely his most underrated work. It's better than Golden Age, High End, Born Villain, and Heaven Upside Down.

This is nowhere near as good as Pale Emperor. And the reason people rank this lowly is because it's mostly Manson pathetically swooning over Evan Rachel Wood which is a far cry from what made him appealing in the first place. This feels more like an MCR album, you can just feel the mascara running on every track.

With that said, this has grown on me a bit over the years and Skold's solos are fantastic. Still this is low-tier Manson.

but that's literally what this album is, it's not an opinion lmao. There's some bangers though, Red Carpet Grave goes hard, t/t as well.

I didn't mean musically, I meant in terms of tone and lyrics. It's really off-putting for Manson to take that route.

and I disagree with that too, so he wanted to make some love ballads for his girl. It's not like he hadn't done that in the past.
