Does their music smell of curry?

Completely forgot about this album until right now, but it's pretty awesome.

If their music smells of red curry, I will eat it. That yellow curry isn't for me though.

This album takes all the best parts of Goddess Gagged's debut album, combines them with the stuff Skyharbor showed on their debut album and then some.

I'm not sure if this album has the same kind of impact right off the bat that Blinding White Noise did, but it's going to be on repeat for a while.

agree with the review and album rating, but this paragraph just irks me a bit haha
'' The guitar work and drumming is simple, but effective. The instrumentation definitely sticks to the 'less is more' principle on this album. Whilst it certainly isn't simplistic, it's not on the level of bands like Dream Theater''
it's simple when you analize it as a single unit, but the harmonic content of the album is just amazing, and definitely there isn't a ''less is more'' aproach. Dhar always had been a fan of heavy layering, and this album further proves it. The Constant IMO is the perfect example of this aproach, there are about 6 guitar tracks sounding at the same time in some points. Same with the bass, it has most of it shining moments during the clean passages of the album, but it follows the guitar during the ''heavy'' bits
Anyways, Im liking the album so far, but Im gonna give it a few more spins before I rate. Seems like a solid 4 at the time though, the last 3 songs definitely shined on their own at first listen

There's a big difference between high production and something being over produced. Anyways, anything with Dan Tompkins in it catches my attention. I'll give this a listen.

BTW I recommend Goddess Gagged's only album "Resurfaces" if you don't know them already, it definitely has some of the early blueprints for some of the stuff you'll hear on this album.

Incredible album but i think the vocals should be louder...?

need to give this an honest listen, love dan tompkins and their first record was solid though ive kinda gotten out of that style. though the two songs ive heard on that are more cloudkicker sounding than stereotypical 7 string wank.

"the harmonic content of the album is just amazing, and definitely there isn't a ''less is more'' aproach"
I probably see it this way because I'm lookinig at the instrumentation on a rhythmic perspective, being a bassist and a rhythm guitarist. But yeah the harmonies are very impresssive indeed!
"I recommend Goddess Gagged's only album "Resurfaces""
Yeah I am going to get around to it at some point. I've checked out one of the singles already and it's not too shabby.

Don't blame you, he seems to be one of those guys who can't do anything wrong.

'Don't blame you, he seems to be one of those guys who can't do anything wrong.'
I know he, or rather Skyharbor, got a bit of stick from some people as they felt his vocals were used to heavily, which might explain why his vocals are quieter on this.
By the way, album rules hard, did not disappoint :D

God I hate to say this, but I really tried to love this album. The first album was raw, and I loved the element of it being done in the sense of it being a project, though I feel like it took on a whole new life of its own and passed the experimental stage. I'm not saying this album is bad, it just isn't GREAT. And I really am disappointed. But get your pitchforks and blind fury ready for this next part, because I feel it must be said... I feel like if Linkin Park were to make a prog rock album, it would sound much like this. I'm sorry, Skyharbor. I just miss the outstandingly unique sound of the first album.

So much better than their first album imo
