Probably because I listened to the first two singles so much, but neither are necessarily my go to tracks now. The Stone Cross and The Celestial Antidote are my current favs.

Or maybe the bass just isn't as much of a lead instrument everyone pretends they want it to be.

and you're an idiot who's done nothing to back up his point and knows nothing about bass playing js.

Or maybe it could be, regardless of what you say? If it's an instrument utilized by a band, which it will be, then it should be just as audible as any other; especially when it's tastefully done like in this album.

It's one of the best examples of dissonance on the album, which is saying a lot given how great dissonance is utilized in every song. I might have to bump up my rating.

Yeah that was a stupid comment but this is definitely on par with most modern dm, it's certainly more creative and original than it should be. Thinking about bumping my rating up.

Excited to listen to this. I knew they always had potential but achieved it fully.

I think everyone is dick riding this a little too hard, don't get me wrong it's good, really good, but just because you expected it to suck, and it didn't, doesn't make it great. Maybe that's just me not liking it as much as everyone else though...I don't know
