wow the vocals are way too high in the mix for this (slash also sound terrible)

actually just the production in general is like super really really bad

idk, i rarely care about production tbh but you're more of an aficionado for that sorta thing I'm guessing, so yeah I doubt you'd enjoy this

??? how can you not care whether or not an album sounds like shit? that seems like a pretty basic thing to have a bone to pick with...

the vocals and (really cheap sounding) percussion are so much louder than a lot of the instrumentals

also both of the singers on this are pretty damn tone deaf i dont get this

"this album legitimately confuses me"

- that's kinda the thesis of my entire review man. all I did was try and rationalize and explain how I was able to connect with it and enjoy it despite the fact

it almost sounds like he made a lot of the piano and synth on like a really shitty 100 dollar keyboard on its factory settings with no plug ins etc and the percussion on the that really cheesy drum setting where you can play cowbells and make dog woof and whistle sounds n shit

word. well i mean like i can see that there is something here, some quirky endearing factor that could explain how someone would love this but for me its just kind of painful a lot of the time

yeah dude, which is why a lot of people pan his stuff. it does sound really amateurish production-wise

its weird tho because there are bass sections and horn sections and other instruments sprinkled in there that sound great production wise but then the production on the percussion and vocals is just so awful i cant tell if he is making some of the things intentionally shitty or if he just accidentally made some of the things sound good.

for instance the bass on punk is fat as fuck

ill give this a light 3. there are some ideas that really intrigue me, enough to make it hard to call it 'average' or 'bad' but it could just be so much better
