Danger could be interpreted as a lot of things, but a love song seems most likely. The lyrics certainly sound like they're directed at a significant other.

"This album was definitely better than the Gray Chapter."
Oh wow, I completely disagree - I mean I guess this had a couple more stand out moments, but The Gray Chapter was a FAR better representation of them as a band and the consistency on that album destroys this one imo. But I guess it's all opinions.
And they did promise the same thing for this one? Shit, guess I missed that - my bad.

Wikipedia quotes them as saying this would be their "heaviest album yet", or rather, "we couldn't think of a better way to describe this album without pissing off fans, so lets just reach for the stock album-hype phrases".

Musically, the album sees the band moving away from nu metal and focusing on a more standard metal sound,
[32][33][34][unreliable source?] Prior to the album's release, Slipknot's members displayed interest in
making All Hope Is Gone their heaviest album, which Joey Jordison affirmed saying, "It's going to be heavier
than Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses), but just as weird and as experimental."[4] Corey Taylor reiterated
this, describing All Hope Is Gone as a "very dark" combination of the band's two previous studio albums,
Iowa and Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)
But, actually I said that cause I saw it in a forum before the album was released.
