Alright. On first listen, the closer Blue was very underwhelming. I mean I didn't expect a Say Nothing but I still thought it would have more energy. I think the only other track I didn't care for was Bay of Dreams. The rest of this was great and the drumming kept things engaging. I wish the vocals went into some higher/stronger territory in spots, but still, I really enjoyed this. I think I was ready to be more positive but Blue kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. Love on Repeat would have been a much better ending

Dang Blue might be my favorite song, I think it's so beautiful and heartbreaking

i have this weird pattern where when I am initially disappointed by a closer it ends up becoming my favorite on the album so we'll see haha

Haha I hope so! Right now my favorites for the new one are the bookends and Forever Sound. I'm so happy they let Dave loose again

Forever Sound was soooo fucking good. Probably my number one fav honestly. That or Blue. Fake Lighting is another huge standout.

Fake Lighting is TOP SHELF.
That one is skyrocketing for me as one of their best songs ever

I hear some Smiths occasionally in the new record. Anyone with me?
He also sounds like Christian Holden of the Hotelier. It's more apparent than ever.

Yeah Clumse now that Kyle has pretty much eliminated his "breaking" voice as I like to call it he sounds a lot like Christian.
New album is basically a more upbeat version of this one.

The trilogy of videos they've released hits me straight in the feels, come the 16th I'm gonna be a real sad boi

I can’t wait to hear this shit even though I know he’ll never do any harsh vocals again. The part in say nothing where it climaxes and he does like 2 lines in a higher register after staying in his comfort zone the entire album except for old jaw is so fucking good. I wish he’d do more of that.

I like (guess we'll say) both versions of PBTT? While I love Old Pride and The Lack Long After, I was one of the dudes who wholeheartedly accepted the new sound on Keep You. While TLLA is insanely intense, I really like the softer, depressing side of PBTT. It's taking all I got not to download the leak hahaha, but these dudes deserve the support. Really good guys too.

Yeah most down to earth guys. Initially I was disappointed by this but it’s just so solid. The only two qualms I have is there’s not much variation in tempo and kyle stays within his one little octave pretty much the whole album even though he’s more than capable of those more soaring notes. But he still sounds great and the production is near flawless.

I think I remember hearing something like he was putting too much strain on his throat and vocal cords with his harsh vocal technique. That could just be heresy, but it would make a lot of sense. A lot of bands in that genre realm seem to do just that, can't do it forever I suppose, haha.

That’s kind of what I figured had happened. What a shame
