This album is a mess, but has some solid tracks in the middle.

I knew I wouldn't love this, I outgrew this band quite awhile ago, but I was hoping I could find something to enjoy a little bit. Oh well.

I'm pretty sure they have a good shot of debuting again at 1 in the Billboard 200

Woah, I couldn't agree less with this 'review'.
This album was very solid and well built. Not at all an identity crisis.

To me, their best two albums are the first and Iowa. Everything else has been pretty bad. This new record is no exception. Corey lost most of the aggression in his voice. This is so disappointing just like Vol. 3 and All Hope Is Gone. I hoped that this album would be better than the past 2, but it's not. They will never top their first 2 records. Ever.

Yeah, the highest rated album by them is their most immature. People just don't like this. Get over it.

Definitely a step back from All Hope Is Gone but still digging the old school nu metal vibe from some of the tracks, reminds me of my pimply-faced socially-retarded teens...

And Vol 3 was way better than Iowa

"Taylor is hardly Sartre with his existentialist prose," it annoys me that each time someone wants to take a philosopher as an example, they take Sartre. Sartre was an arrogant idiot and a hypocrite who just happened to say in a philosophical style what everybody wanted to hear at the time and his shit philosophy continues to be taken seriously and to give weight to stupid ideas.

At least Corey Taylor won't have that impact.

Wow, that was turrible to say the least.

If I was Joey I would be happy that I was spared from having my name attached to that piece.
