Is saw that on the bio “Chevelle is a 3.8 band from...” it just clicked what that originally meant after reading you comment @OSEL

they are only a 3.775 band now (because of this album)

I'm not giving this a 5 just to boost the rating though

steve albini-magic, helmet-tool riffs, this shit made my 10 year old self think starting bands wasn’t as hard as I thought. you could play simple and still kick butt.

I like WWN a lot better than Thinking, but that's just me

Vena is super good, too. It was in my top 2 with WWN until North Corr and La Gargola ousted it a few spots

Fuck, If “We need healing aloe plant” can be a chorus I need to stop worrying about my lyrics and just sing.

"Steve’s production suits this band well, imagine Vitamin R or like Twinge if he recorded them damn"

Agreed. I think they would've greatly benefited from a rawer production on stuff after this.

Chevelle was assummed to be a Christian Metal band at that time and I was curious if the bible was an influence in the lyrics, so I took the time to see if there was any relationship between the aloe plants and the bible and I found out that there were aloe plants left during Jesus burial. My assumption is that it's probably about her mother thinking that he had a saviour but she was left with nothing after his son was condemned to the cross and the aloe vera is probably a figure of speech that she needs something to heal the pain of that loss. Or it could be about John, his mos loyal disciple.

I always thought they were trying to make a jingle to get onto an Olay type commercial or something and earn some $$$
