AHIG has memorable moments at least, unlike this

Damn, I actually like this despite its length... probably gonna lower my rating though, inconsistent as fuck.

Gehenna was a great track off AHIG but everyone seems to forget about it.

As much as I liked Gehenna, I don't think anything could top Til We Die; not even Butcher's Hook. Ironically people detest that one the most off AHIG.

I ate up AHIG tbh. Gematria was pretty "brootal" and Sulfur and Psychosocial are awesome.

I don't get the rating and I frankly I don't think you understand Slipknot. The songs on this album are what to expect from a Slipknot album. Slipknot's musical style is not very refined or revolutionary. They crafted their own style, which serves to get you pumped and tear stuff up at a live show (or at a parking lot, for all I care). In my opinion this album is successful that way. Not ground breaking, there's some good stuff on there and some weaker stuff. 3.5 would have been more appropriate given to nature of the band.

The Devil And I is probably the best thing they've done since Vol.3 for me, so damn good.

I suppose at this stage in Slipknots career they're hardly going to change the mould.

'The Devil In I' was what had me worried about this album in the first place.. Just the same generic drivel that brought AHIG down.

The groove on it can't be denied. Generic, sure.

It isn't a terrible song.. Just thought it was weak tea and lacking in personality compared to the later tracks like 'Custer' and 'Killpop'.

Yeah... I headbanged like an idiot to that chorus. Cheesy lyrics notwithstanding.

The world will never see another crazy motherfucker like you

The world will never know another man as amazing as you

Skeptic's chorus is trite, but instantly catchy.
