But it has that sneaking feel of something that will grow on me too - there's a handful of tracks that will keep bringing me back, most notably 'Every Other Freckle.'

Already bumped this, the middle stretch of this album alone makes it worthy of a 3.5.

First 4 songs are my favourite and I love how well this album flows as a whole

Nara and Every Other Freckle definitely brought me back after the first time. This is not as bad as people are making it out

to be. In fact, it's growing on me quite a bit.

Yeah this is being shit on way too much. It's not what I expected at first but it's really good.

Agreed, but I can't help but think that it just didn't work. It's no where near has powerful or as hard hitting as the first and come on, Left Hand Free is awful

for me it's really take it or leave it, so it might be closer to a 3 but i don't really care about this too much. they had better songs, better baselines and overall catchyness on their debut while on this, there are only a few wow moments, and not enough to keep me coming back. if you wanna view that as "shitting" an album, well go ahead (Sowing)

The effortless flow of the album is what keeps me coming back

I just mean people's reactions in general seem to be negative towards this, which I disagree with because this is way more experimental and succeeds in its endeavors at just about every turn.

Relax.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite albums of the year...there's not a single song that isn't memorable and completely fresh sounding. Like...Nara, Warm Foothills, Every Other Freckle are all favorites but the moments in between are almost just as good.

Really? I found the second half really underwhelming, especially bloodflood pt2

The Gospel of John Hurt is spectacular

2nd half has some of the best moments on it

I'm hoping I feel the same way with more listens. First four songs are among their best work at least
