Hmm...

This is a conundrum.

It's hard to say...

Is any of this actually happening? Or is this like the end of Mario Bros 2 and all of it is just a dream?

Lol @ the contribs in this thread

Also I need to try this. Am completely unfamiliar with this band, as it stands.

Well, their first album is one of the very best deathcore albums ever.

Yikes, man. Just strolling in to say it is definitely an OK thing to start sentences with 'and' from time to time, but Jac pointed out that i do it way too much. Which is helpful criticism that I'm thankful for- it's easy to miss things like that. (I also feel like all of you would agree with that assessment, but you wanted to argue- and more power to you.)

Now that we're done focusing on the serious issues like grammar, I'd just like to say 1. You're welcome, KILL, and 2. FromTheInside is a beautiful person. Thank you guys for any other compliments that may have been buried in this beautiful sandstorm of squabbles

If you want an accurate picture of who these guys used to be before now, I'd start off listening to Exoplanet. I'm not sure how much you'll enjoy it- we haven't talked about modern metal much- but it'll definitely help you to understand why people started caring about these guys so much over the last few years.

Damn, this drops in three days? It'll probably dominate my Spotify plays, along with the new Cannibal Corpse and Eluveitie.

Ehh, I don't think the two are TOO comparable- even though they may fall into similar genres, the two bands feel so different to me. In terms of strict enjoyment for both albums, though, I certainly am going to come back to this album more.

From my experience, both my English and Philosophy professors have said that it is perfectly acceptable to

start sentences with and. I see academic writers do it too.

It's one of those things I guess. Throughout high school, I was told not to do it.

@beef Yeah, agreed that "and" isn't really the be-all/end-all criteria for good writing, but you shouldn't use it too frequently.

@Omaha Hmm, I enjoyed The Flesh Prevails quite a bit, but I'm hoping this might help me get into earlier Contortionist.

Yeah, strikes me as perfectly fine in moderation. It's a crutch that's easy to abuse, that's for sure.

This may do that, Explosive, but are you sure Exoplanet could grow on you? It may simply not be your kind of music. I found that listening to BTBAM and other groups in that style prepared me for it, but I'm not sure how much you may like them.
