I love this band. Album hasn't gotten old yet and it's been on almost constant rotation.
The video for New Topia is so sick.

Forgot how amazing and beautiful this album is. So dense in atmosphere.

These dudes have mastered the art of minimalism. Their heavier songs are like choir of chords. The melodies here are like a shy yet beautiful and profound person, they never stand out too much to drag your attention entirely, but they always fall into your heart, and as they unfold, you are helplessly enchanted. There is literally no hollow notes, no hollow sound, every guitar pick or piano drop or synth's wisper carries so much emotion it's ridiculous. It's always tricky, fluid melancholy: as the melody builds up it often begins in major, it lures with a subtly uplifting feel, with a frail shining of a decrescent autumn sun, but then it uncompromisingly falls into minor and here comes this sacred, sublime sadness, it wraps you in itself. "New Topia" and "Invitation" demonstrate this effect best. I can hardly name a few bands which can express this much through so little. It's like a musical equivalent to Hemingway's Iceberg Theory.

^agreed. I still listen to this album every month. It is perfect for just chilling and relaxing. This and the recent balmorhea album are just so perfect for that. It is a perfect blend of minimalism and instrumentation, most bands are too harsh with their transitions or lean to hard on one. I’m all in on this even though it came out a while ago

Maybe I need to go back and listen to this. The new album pretty good, nothing tops Young Mountain ep
