Cannibal Corpse are actually very, very good in the grand scheme of death metal bands. They definitely have some of the best riffs out there, and are by far the most influential band in brutal death metal.

Seriously, the band sounds better now for the most part than they ever have

The last few albums are tight, crisp and catchy which aren't the words you'd expect to use when describing a classic dm band
