Tried going back and listening again to see if my opinion had changed after my tremendous disappointment originally...
Nope.
Eternal Rains Will Come and to a lesser extent Cusp of Eternity are still the only tunes that don't put me to sleep. The rest of the album might as well be elevator music as far as I'm concerned.

I don't really hear Riverside with Eternal Rains. I hear a myriad of 70s bands, just like the rest of the album. It's just a less boring song than the rest.

Moon Above, Sun Below grew off me for a while but it's back as my favorite again with Eternal Rains at a close second.

Voice of Treason is definitely my favourite on here. Love the use of acoustic guitar on that song. Whole song has a really strong Watershed vibe, fortunately more akin to the good (obviously non-metal) moments on Watershed than the not so good.
