TFK was once the most hilariously terrible band on earth. I truly think they've improved greatly with this album...

... Which means that now they're just kinda terrible. Songs like "Rawkfist" and "Smack Down" were so awful they were memorable. This is just forgettable.

Good review, pos'd

I have heard some of this album and do feel it is their weakest effort. But I think their best album is Welcome to the Masquerade. An Art of Breaking was the weakest before this effort.

@Clifgard, How could you not like Phenomenon and Masquerade? And this is worse than forgettable.

The Art Of Breaking is definitely their best effort to date and I See Red is probably the closest you can get on here.

This one is weak, though, not a 1 imo.

Give It To Me and Light Up save the day.

Art of Breaking was practically a rehash of Phenomenon.

It's a more mature Phenomenon.

@Toondude10 I'll concede that masquerade had a few good numbers, like the title track and "Forward Motion," but for the most part I just felt like it was this awful cheesefest of a party-rock album. At least this one shows a bit of much-needed restraint. Unfortunately, this restrained TFK doesn't really have much to say when they don't have a bad case of turnin' it up, apparently.

Ahh, so you're "that" kind of person. Not really into the cheesy kind of stuff I guess. I understand though.

Yep, I'm that guy. But I like your writing style and I tend to agree with your reviews... Especially here.

To be fair, I feel there's room on any rock album for one party rocker - got to lighten the mood somewhere. I just tire of the (at least) 5-6 on almost every TFK album.

Phenomenon was okay. Nothing too special, but still decent. This, however...
