Baauer, hmm?

Ya, Northern Exposure rules so goddamn much.

I know Baauer is generally considered pretty mediocre but that song rules so much

Yeah, the only artists I've found to be above average who do that kind of "trap" stuff were Rustie, TNGHT and HudMo. And now my favorite of the three has put out an incredibly subpar album.

You have a better chance to find good trap tracks in hip hop albums I've noticed

Also Wolfhorde might be worth checking out some of Lunice's solo work - half of TNGHT along with HudMo

Interesting "interview" that basically reveals all the reasons why this album irritates me. I want the crazy Rustie, not the musical madman who might just be one of the most adept producers at layering relegating himself to the background just so rappers find it easier to rhyme over his beats

That doesn't sound to rosy for the future tbh.

Thx for the rec. Sounds pretty cool so far.

@brostep: I already had a crack at Lunice's solo material and I didn't like it as much tbh.

I love TNGHT and HudMo but have never heard a Lunice track I thought was worth listening to a second time.

this was pretty unsubstantial and disappointing for the most part. wish it weren't.

The only good thing about this album is that it seems to be pretty much universally underwhelming to everyone, so hopefully he decides to go back to what made him awesome in the first place after this. But it's a fuckin bummer, Glass Swords was so good.

Yeah. All that "Kitsch" and "crazy" or "flashy" stuff he mentioned in the interview is what made the album good in the first place.

RA gave it a 4/5, but it's a Warp album so that shouldn't be surprise

Just saw that, what in the hell? That's the same rating glass swords got on RA lol.
