"Moonsorrow, Falkenbach, Ensiferum, Tyr, Arkona, hell even Finntroll and Eluveitie have some really kick ass stuff"
True. Some of those are actually really good live bands.

Yeah Moonsorrow and early Ensiferum are sweet. Love me some folk metal. Primordial, Menhir and Empyrium are other favorites. Like how do you not dig this

I will sure have to give this one a try considering this has been a pretty good year for power metal.

Yeah it's been a pretty decent year so far for power metal.

Epica's album is probably the best in the genre this year.

My favorite power metal record for this year is porbably Galneryus new one even if it's one of their worst.

This is actually pretty great, some of the layered vocal stuff was surprisingly heavy and not what I expected. The folk stuff was great too, really cool album. The cover song was a fun surprise.

"If you get the special Mediabook edition of the new album, it comes with a 2nd CD entitled "No Grave But The Sea for Dogs", which contains the entire album except all the vocals have been replaced by a dog barking. We can guarantee you won't listen to the whole thing, it's spectacularly bad. "

Can't wait to give it a listen

"100% of the profits from this album are going towards building a new sauna for Alestorm's pirate ship"

Love the less than subtle Wintersun jab haha

Anybody hear the frontman's side project Wizardthrone? Theyve been releasing some singles, its pretty good stuff.
