Definitely not. If you barely liked Mandala, then this will bore the shit out of you

It's a very short album compared to Mandala. And it took me about five listens to appreciate this one. Best served with headphones though. Still, ...And The Battle Begun was my favorite RX Bandits'.

This record clicked with me right away. I hadn't listened to these guys since the late 90's though, so I was definitely expecting something totally different. Awesome review though.

Thanks Atari, I fixed it up.

Not sure what my favorite tracks are. I really like Penguin Marlin Brando and Future, Buddy, though.

Also, the comment about headphones is definitely correct.

I think this, at the very least, maintains the level of progginess of Mandala. I'm feeling a most righteous math rock-y influence in it, too, especially the beginnings of Fire to the Ocean, Penguin Marlin Brando, and G2G, the latter of which reminds me of something Piglet would make if they'd get their genius asses back together.

"Reminds me of Piglet" is probably the highest praise I can give something, by the way.

this doesn't really rely on verse-chorus structure much more than The Resignation did

Fuck. Was in the process of writing a review that's almost entirely the same as what you just wrote.

Well done, though.

Do it, Jom! Super fun record.

Also, how has nobody mentioned that G2G is the most perfect song? I could listen to it on repeat.
